Mock Legislative Session 2025
Congratulations to the students in Mr. Murphree’s U.S. Government class at Southeastern School for representing us at the Blount County Mock Legislative Session alongside other schools from across the county. Students from SHS wrote five bills in the areas of defense, healthcare, environmental protection, homeland security, and science, space, and technology. The award for Best Original Bill went to Max McClinton, Addison Self, Laci Peek, Hunter Wilson, and Isaac McGuire for their bill, The Military Medical Modernization and Equity Act. Laci Peek also won the award for Best Question Responder.
